Flooding fears mount in Jackson
Officials are warning of the potential for minor flooding around Flat Creek near Jackson.
Teton County Emergency Management sent out a low-level alert to residents today warning of possible flooding.
“The creek’s freezing from bottom up, so it pushes the water out of the creek bed instead of the water freezing from the top down, and kind of creates a unique situation where it pushes water out of the banks and we get some nuisance flooding,” said Rich Ochs, coordinator for Teton County Emergency Management.
