Woman arrested in Rexburg, Idaho Falls thefts

A 25-year-old Rexburg woman has been arrested after confessing to a string of burglaries.

Rexburg police said Chelsey Lee Bell was arrested after Walmart security detained her for shoplifting.

During an interview with police Wednesday, Bell admitted thefts at nine other Rexburg businesses and eleven in Idaho Falls, Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis said.

Bell was being held in the Madison County Jail on a burglary charge. Additional charges could follow after review by Madison County Prosecutor Sid Brown.
