Idaho Falls couple asks for help finding hit-and-run driver

An Idaho Falls couple is asking for your help after they say someone crashed into their parked car and fled Friday night.

Scott Dees and his wife were at friends house on Wheatstone Drive, but when they were ready to leave, they say they noticed their red Chevy had been hit.

“My car had been hit on the driver’s side. Pushed up onto the sidewalk. No notes, no information. Someone drove off,” said Dees.

The driver’s side window was completely shattered, sending shards of glass everywhere. If you look closely, you can even see the streaks of dark paint the Dees believe came from the offending vehicle.

“Due to the height of the damage on the vehicle we believe it was a darker-colored truck or a SUV of some sort,” said Dees.

Until the person responsible is found, the Dees say that they’ll likely have to pick up the cost.

If you have any information regarding this incident, you’re asked to police at 529-1200. The Dees believe this happened between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday night.
