Eastern Idaho’s new intensive care unit

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center will soon have a new intensive care unit. The new unit is equipped with better technology to help sick patients in our region.

The ICU has six new rooms that are larger and provide more daylight. Each room is equipped with special lifts so it is easier for hospital staff to take care of people. The respiratory director said the new unit will help better serve the community.

“We want to be able to provide the best care we can so we are always looking at what national trends are showing in an effort to get the new technology and new equipment that we need,” said Greg Trosper.

The new facility will open Jan. 7.
