Maverik worker accused of embezzling cash

A Maverik worker was arrested after Rigby police said he embezzled from the convenience store.

Loss prevention officers for Maverik met with an officer Thursday and told them Keith R. Wonenberg, 29, of Rigby, had been taking cash from the cash register. He had been doing this by voiding sales and then taking the cash for those sales, they told police. This has allegedly been occurring since November. The amount of stolen money is unknown at this time.

Wonenberg was arrested on a charge of grand theft and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
