Man convicted of lewd conduct with child

A Bonneville County jury convicted Jeffrey Lewis Dunn of three felony counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16 on Friday.

During his trial, which started Tuesday, Bonneville County Deputy Prosecutor Danny Clark said Dunn molested three girls aged 6 to 14 between 2004 and 2011.

The jury deliberated for four hours before delivering its verdict Friday afternoon.

Dunn could face a potential life sentence on each charge.

Dunn also admitted a prior conviction on the same charge and was found guilty on a felony enhancement charge. That felony offense carries a mandatory minimum 15 year sentence.

According to the Idaho Sex Offender Registry, Dunn was convicted in 1996 for lewd conduct with a child under 16 in Bonneville County.

Dunn will appear for sentencing before 7th District Judge Dane Watkins Jr. on Jan. 27.
