Police look for missing Rexburg man

Rexburg police are trying to find a missing Rexburg man. Richard Charles Loomis, 44, was last seen around 10 p.m. Feb. 8.

Loomis left home in the family’s black Jeep Wrangler and has had no contact with friends, family, or employer since.

Detective Chuck Kunsaitis said Rexburg police have no reason to suspect foul play, but believe his behavior was out of character.

Loomis is described as an outdoor enthusiast and belongs to a Jeep off-road club. He attended Brigham Young University-Idaho and worked from home with a Portland-based company. Loomis also had childhood ties to the Palm Springs, Calif., area.

The Wrangler’s license plate is 1M 95432.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Rexburg Police Department at (208) 359-3000.
