Skyline basketball coach reinstated

Skyline High School basketball coach Clint Cornish has been reinstated. He will coach the Grizzlies in a game Thursday night.

Cornish was ejected from the game Feb. 14 and suspended from a Tuesday night game in accordance with Idaho High School Activities Association rules. District 91 Superintendent George Boland conducted an investigation to determine whether additional personnel action was warranted.

Boland met with Cornish on Thursday morning.

In a statement, District 91 said, “The primary objective of interscholastic activities in Idaho Falls School District 91 is to promote good sportsmanship and positive experiences.”

Those objectives were developed by an advisory committee made up of parents, coaches, patrons and administrators.
