Highway 20 crash sends at least 1 to hospital
Just after 9:30pm police and fire crews responded to a two vehicle crash on northbound U.S. Highway 20 in Madison County on Thursday night.
A pickup truck with a camper shell and an SUV collided at the Thornton turn-off intersection.
At least one victim was transported to the hospital. Her condition or injuries are unknown at this time.
This intersection is not a highway off-ramp. Cross-traffic must yield to Highway 20 traffic.There is o word on what caused the accident, and no further word on injuries.
Traffic was diverted off the highway for about an hour while crews cleaned up the accident.
