Teen hurt in hit-and-run

A 16-year-old boy is in stable condition after a hit-and-run accident Thursday night, police said Friday afternoon.

Pocatello police said the boy and a friend were crossing the 1000 block of Yellowstone Avenue at 8 p.m. toward Winco Foods. The victim was struck by a white, four-door passenger vehicle, which continued south on Yellowstone and did not stop.

The boy was transported to Portneuf Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police are trying to find the car and and its driver.The vehicle is a white, newer-looking, four-door passenger car with front-end damage, possibly a Toyota Corolla.
