Airline offers Idaho Falls-Denver flights
Frontier Airlines announced today will now offer new non-stop service from Idaho Falls Regional Airport to Denver beginning in mid-June.
According to a news release Monday, the service will be on a 138-seat aircraft.
Frontier is offering introductory fares for as low as $49 each way through Wednesday and as low as $65 from Thursday through Sunday.
Direct flights from Denver to Idaho Falls are set to begin June 12 and will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Flights from Idaho Falls to Denver will take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting June 13.
Aviation Director Craig Davis said Frontier Airlines means more competition for other carriers.
“By bringing in the competition we will not only bring the airfares down across the board, but it will also address some of the folks that were traveling to Salt Lake City,” said Davis.
The airport isn’t the only one arguing for low ticket prices. Travel agents in the area agree.
“I think it could bring prices down. The more competition we have out of Idaho Falls the better it is for everyone who travels,” said Celeste French.
In addition, Denver is a hub for Frontier, and connects to 28 destinations, including Atlanta, Minneapolis, New York and Washington, D.C.
