Man arrested after gun fired in neighbor’s house
An Idaho Falls man was arrested after he allegedly fired a gun in his neighbor’s house.
Idaho Falls police said on Tuesday evening, the wife of James N. Christensen was visiting a house next door to hers on the 200 block of West 21st. Christensen, 46, entered his neighbor’s home brandishing a .22 rifle. He fired a shot that struck a portable work light, police said.
Christensen fled from the house before police arrived. Officers were looking for him during the night. He was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault after he returned to the house Wednesday morning and caused another disturbance, police said.
He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
