Body recovered from river
The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said deputies recovered a body from a river Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff Craig Rowland said deputies were attempting to locate 68-year-old Michael Birch who did not return home from fishing.
Deputies responded to the Thomas area of Bingham County and searched from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday. The search resumed Saturday at 8 a.m. Four hours later, Rowland said, they found his body in the Snake River.
