Pocatello Gun Show draws hundreds

Hundreds turned out to the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel in Fort Hall for the annual Pocatello Gun Show this weekend.

With more than 120 exhibitors and hundreds of guns ranging from pistols to assault rifles, it was every gun enthusiast’s dream.

“There’s some beautiful guns here, you know. They’re just very expensive,” said Ryan Corum.

“I probably won’t buy one today,” said Corum, adding that his biggest reason for attending the Gun Show was to deliver a message.

“We’re just at a time in our country where the Second Amendment is really being infringed upon,” said Corum.

It’s belief that many at the gun show share, and that dealers say is driving sales.

“We’ve never gotten as much for guns as we do now, and the market is huge,” said exhibitor Harold Chas.

“The purpose of everything is just to make a lot of this available to the public. A lot of the guns here, for example, are antique that you can’t buy just anywhere,” said organizer Steve Snider.

Tickets to the two-day event cost $6.
