Man dies in I-15 crash
A Pocatello man died in a crash on Interstate 15 near Chubbuck.
On Friday around 1 p.m., Brett L. Payne, 31, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe south on the interstate. Idaho State Police said Payne drifted off the left shoulder, over-corrected and went off the right shoulder, where the SUV overturned.
He was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, where he died from his injuries.
Police said Payne was not wearing a seat belt.
