Woman arrested after pursuit
A woman’s vehicle was spiked four times when she led authorities on a chase from Oneida County to Pocatello on Monday night.
An Oneida County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped Kimberly Sue Wilson, 41, on Interstate 15 north of Malad. According to a news release, the deputy suspected she was intoxicated and also found Wilson was driving on a suspended license. When the deputy asked her to step out of her vehicle, she put it in gear and sped off, police said.
The pursuit reached speeds of 75 to 100 miles per hour before Idaho State Police spiked her vehicle north of McCammon. However, Wilson continued on and was spiked a second time and exited I-15 at Inkom. Her vehicle was spiked two more times before the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office stopped her on South Fifth in Pocatello.
According to a news release, Wilson refused to cooperate, and officers had to break a window to get her out.
Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the Bannock County Jail. She faces charges of felony DUI, eluding police and driving without privileges.
