Men linked to aquatic center thefts

Two Idaho Falls men were arrested on warrants in connection to multiple thefts, police announced Tuesday.

Police said Michael Sanders, 21, and Justin C. Wheeler, 26, are suspects in six locker burglaries reported at the Wes Deist Aquatic Center between Jan. 16 and Feb. 28. Stolen from the lockers were wallets, cash, financial cards, cell phones and shoes.

Sanders and Wheeler are also linked to the theft of Hummel figurines taken from a home on the 200 block of Virginia. The burglary was reported March 7.

Wheeler was arrested March 24, and Sanders was arrested Monday. Both face three counts of burglary and one count of grand theft.
