Woman charged with second-degree murder in Blackfoot killing

A woman was charged with second-degree murder at the Bingham County Courthouse on Friday in connection with a Blackfoot stabbing death.

Sheree Amanda Moreno had been arrested in connection with a stabbing death Thursday. She is being held in the Bingham County Jail on Friday.

Police say they found a man dead when they responded to a call of a stabbing late Wednesday night.

The incident occurred in a trailer park on the 700 block of South Broadway, police said. In a news conference, police said the victim did not reside there.

Officers arrived just before midnight Wednesday.

Authorities said the stabbing was the first murder in Blackfoot in five years. Years ago they had a similar murder in the same trailer park.

Neighbors told Local News 8 he heard females fighting outside Wednesday night. They also said Thursday morning they had not been questioned by police.

Valerio’s death is being investigated by the Blackfoot/Bingham County Joint Detective Team.

Moreno’s bond has been set for $500,000.
