Tuition increases at 3 Idaho universities

The cost of a higher education continues to get more expensive, and the Gem State is no exception.

On Wednesday, the State Board of Education approved a tuition and fee increase for three of Idaho’s state-run universities.

Here are the new yearly fees for in-state, full-time students for the 2014-2015 school year:

Idaho State University: 3.5 percent increase to $6,566 University of Idaho: 4 percent to $6,784 Boise State University: 5.5 percent increase to $6,640
