Garage burns in Bonneville County
A fire at 111 East 65 North caused about $40,000 in damage. No one was injured.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department was called to the garage, across the street from the Sage Lakes Golf Course, at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday.
The fire melted the front bumper of a car parked near the garage, but an older Ford Ranchero parked inside was a complete loss.
Firefighters were able to save the contents of a small room at the back of the garage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but according to a fire department news release, could have been prevented with proper child care and supervision as well as better removal of contents.
