Cracked asphalt, retainer wall visible inside Jackson evacuation zone

It’s been three days since Jackson’s Budge Drive was evacuated due to concerns that portions of a hill could slide.

Friday emergency personnel took Local News 8 on a tour of the evacuated area.

Local News 8 saw rift-like cracks in the asphalt up and down Budge Drive as well as in the Walgreens parking lot and in private driveways.

There is also a crack in the concrete retainer wall set against the hillside.
