Man arrested after disturbance at Denny’s

Police arrested a screaming man at Denny’s late Monday night.

Idaho Falls officers arrived at the restaurant on Lindsay Boulevard around 11:20 p.m. after being notified of a loud, drunk man screaming about God.

The man, Richard G. Seeley, 53, of Idaho Falls, became aggressive when police approached him, according to a news release. Police said he swung his arms at an officer, striking the officer’s chest several times. He also pushed the officer away from him, police said.

Police tried unsuccessfully to subdue him with a Taser, but they were able to arrest him after using pepper spray.

He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on charges of disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and felony battery on an officer.
