Man jailed after Idaho Falls stabbing
An Idaho Falls man stabbed his roommate over a missing lawnmower Wednesday, police said.
Darrell K. Smith, 51, and the 57-year-old victim were arguing over the mower in an apartment in the 600 block of Tiger Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Smith grabbed a knife and stabbed the other man in the stomach area, according to police.
A witness called officers.
The victim was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance. His condition is unknown.
Smith was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery and was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
