Farm Bureau CEO set to retire

A local business leader is retiring after 40 years in the insurance industry. For the last 18 years, Phil Joslin has been the CEO and executive vice president of the Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho.

He said he’s proud to have helped folks all over the state with their insurance needs, and said he’s glad Farm Bureau is one of the top insurers for the entire state.

He also said he’s proud of his employees for being involved in the community through Relay for Life, Christmas in the Nighttime Sky, and Salute to Idaho Veterans on Veterans Day.

“We try to do some things that help make our communities better, and give a little bit back to the communities,” Joslin said. “As far as time and effort from our people, we support that.”

After retirement, Joslin said he’s going to dust off his golf clubs and fishing gear and do a bit of traveling. There is a retirement party Friday, June 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Farm Bureau building, 275 Tierra Vista. Current coworkers, friends and family are all invited to attend.
