Idaho Falls bike shop burglarized

Three boys broke into Dave’s Bike Shop early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 4:30 a.m., Idaho Falls police were called to the business on West Broadway for a burglary. When they arrived, officers saw the three leaving the building. The officers ran after them.

Officers caught up with two boys, 16 and 12, and they were taken to the 3B Detention Center. The third boy got away.

Police recovered a laptop and about $2,000 in cash taken from the business. In addition, the back door to Dave’s Bike Shop was shattered.

The shop owner, Dave Wilding, said he was just happy police were able to get his stuff back.

“”If they hadn’t been caught, I think I would feel different that I do now,” said Wilding “Just knowing that they were caught and hopefully they can get some help and we were able to get our money back.”
