2014 could be defining year for BYU-Idaho enrollment
Many potential Brigham Young University-Idaho students have put off their education to go on missions since age limits were lowered in 2012, but university enrollment figures could rebound with an influx of students this fall.
University officials say it’s too early to tell how many students will enroll, but it’s possible it could bring BYU-Idaho back to pre-2012 levels.
“Based on what we can see, we think that 2014 will be the year that we see the greatest impact,” said BYU-Idaho spokesman Marc Stevens.
The university should have a better idea of how fall enrollment will impact overall enrollment numbers in 2015.
