Winners of Rotary Club’s 24th annual Duck Race announced

The names of the winners of the Idaho Falls Rotary Club’s 24th annual Duck Race were released Monday.

The race was held Saturday on the greenbelt.

Nineteen thousand rubber ducks embarked on a race over the falls. Each duck was sponsored, and the sponsor of the winning duck won a new pickup truck.

“You drop the ducks in the water, and the first duck over the falls and into the shoot wins,” said organizer Kevin Call.

Over the past 24 years, the Rotary Club has raised $4 million from the duck races.

The money goes to beautify and improve the greenbelt.

The winners are as follows:

Grand prize: 2014 Ford F-150 donated by Broadway Ford: Carol Hammon

Kawasaki Teryx donated by Idaho Central Credit Union: Rhonda Larso Grand Targhee Resort Family Season Ski Pass: Ed Harlow Melody Beyers Michelle Hansen Todd Stevenson Shawn Johnson John Park Cassie Hawkins
