Woman arrested after pedestrian hurt in hit-and-run accident

A woman was arrested after police said she drove drunk and hit a pedestrian Sunday night.

Police responded to a hit-and-run accident involving Bobbie L. Knight, 46, of Idaho Falls around 10 p.m. on Bellin Road and Barberry Lane. While they were investigating that accident, police also learned Knight had allegedly struck a 21-year-old female pedestrian in a hit-and-run accident on West 17th South and Blue Ridge Drive.

Knight was arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an injury accident, both felonies. She was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Information on her condition was not available.
