Derailed train blocks Blackfoot traffic
A derailed train closed part of Broadway Street in Blackfoot for a few hours Tuesday.
The road was closed between Sexton and Bridge streets after seven Union Pacific cars went off the tracks when they were backing up Tuesday morning.
The cars were empty, and no one was hurt, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said.
A crane was on site around 2 p.m.
Union Pacific did not return phone calls from Local News 8.
