Crash near Idaho Falls injures Rexburg teen

A 16-year-old from Rexburg was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after he was injured in a car crash early Sunday.

The Idaho State Police said the crash happened at 12:23 a.m. on St. Leon Road and U.S. Highway 20, near Idaho Falls.

State police said Clinton Erickson was driving east on the highway when his car struck a guardrail at milepost 311. The vehicle continued through the median and plummeted onto St. Leon Road, landing on its side. Erickson was wearing his seat belt and was taken to a hospital.
