Local kids prepare for big performance

Idaho Falls School District is hosting a major regional theater company this week.

Every year, Missoula Children’s Theatre visits all 50 states and 16 countries.

More than 60 kids from kindergarten through 12th grade are rehearsing for Saturday’s performance. They auditioned Monday.

Emily Bradford, an actor/director from the theater group said the goal is bigger than simply putting on a play.

“The purpose is so they can learn to work as a team, instill a sense of confidence in themselves and learn some life skills,” she said.

Everyone is invited to the performance Saturday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. at Taylorview Middle School.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.
