Man killed in Fort Hall shooting

A man was killed in a shooting in Fort Hall last week.

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes released information Monday on a shooting on East Agency Road.

Around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, Fort Hall police got an anonymous phone call about a shooting at the Ish home.

Officers said they found evidence outside of the home indicating someone was hurt. Witnesses told investigators Anthony Ish, 32, shot Darrell Auck, 44, outside the home. Both are tribal members.

A tribal arrest warrant was issued for Ish on assault with a deadly weapon. Ish was arrested at the home and is currently at the Fort Hall Correction Center.

Police said Ish will face federal charges. The investigation is being conducted by Fort Hall Police Department and FBI.

The tribes said they would not release further information at this time.
