Your Health Idaho open enrollment period to begin soon

Your Health Idaho’s second enrollment period is right around the corner, set to open Nov. 15 and end Feb. 15.

If you have an existing plan, you should be getting information from Your Health Idaho regarding tax credits and what your renewal will look like. If you don’t have a plan, Stephen Weeg, board chairman of Your Health Idaho, said now is the time to start looking at plans and contacting an insurance agent for help.

“Right now, you can go to yourhealthidaho.org and put in your ZIP code, put in some income,” said Weeg. “You don’t have to identify who you are, but you can look at some plans that are available in your area and you can start to get an idea of what you might be interested in.”

Last year, Your Health Idaho got off to a rough start, but ended up enrolling 76,000 Idahoans. The state used federal technology for enrollment, but this year Idaho is launching its own technology, making it the first and only state to transition off of healthcare.gov.
