Woman arrested in connection to Aschliman’s murder
An Idaho Falls woman was arrested Tuesday in connection to the murder of Kristy M. Aschliman.
Kayla M. Bennett, 22, was arrested on a $50,000 warrant for accessory to murder, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
Aschliman, 21, of Idaho Falls, was shot to death in a car on Lincoln Road in Bonneville County in January 2013.
Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said Bennett did not have anything to do with the murder itself, but rather she had knowledge of the crime and concealed it from police.
Adan A. Arroyo, 23, of Blackfoot, was sentenced in June for first-degree murder in Aschliman’s death.
Arroyo is serving 25 years to life.
