Train runs over Idaho Falls woman’s foot

An Idaho Falls woman suffered an injured foot after it was run over by a train around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Idaho Falls police said the 18-year-old woman was skateboarding home on Anderson Street, just west of Holmes Avenue, when she encountered a train stopped at the intersection. Instead of waiting for the train to move, the woman tried to crawl underneath it.

The train started to move when she was underneath and its wheels ran over her foot.A police officer arrived, ran after the train and told the engineer to get the train to stop.

The woman was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for treatment. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
