Jefferson County voters must choose to keep or oust county prosecutor

It’s the kind of vote that gets people talking. Jefferson county voters have to choose today whether to recall or keep in office their county prosecutor, Robin Dunn.

The vote was put on the county ballot after some people in the county felt that Dunn no longer represented their interests. Those that oppose Dunn also say he has his own various conflicts of interest.

Those who support Dunn and want him to stay in office say he hasn’t done anything illegal and has worked hard to serve the county.

For a lot of people, they say no matter your opinion, its just important to vote.

“Even if it’s controversial, we need to exercise our right to vote,” said Penny Thomas a Jefferson county voter. “Everybody who doesn’t vote, asks for what they get. They need to vote to get their word in.”

Voting goes until 8 pm on Tuesday, March 10.
