Man with baseball bat Tasered, arrested

An Idaho Falls man was Tasered on Tuesday night, police said.

Idaho Falls police were called to the 700 block of Cleveland for a domestic disturbance. A 48-year-old woman said she and Rusty Price, 48, had been arguing arguing when he became aggressive, damaging items inside the residence and threatening her with the bat. She then ran away from the home and called police.

When officers arrived, Price still had the bat and acted aggressively toward them, police said.

“An officer deployed his Taser because of Price’s defiant and aggressive behavior,” according to an IFPD news release.

Price was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated assault on an officer. He was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail on charges of resisting arrest and a no-contact order violation.
