Portneuf Medical Center launches free valet parking

Portneuf Medical Center is now offering free valet parking for its patients.

The hospital has been providing the service all week as part of a test run. Friday was the official launch date.

Patients can request the service by pulling in at the hospital’s main entrance where a valet will hand them a customer ID card and park their car. The valet will then retrieve their car when they’re ready to leave.

“We can answer their questions right here, park their car for them, bring their car back. They don’t have to walk, they don’t have to scrape their windows,” said Earl Miller, a driver for the hospital.

The hospital said it’s been considering adding a valet parking service for the past four years.

Portneuf already offers a free shuttle service.

Both services are available seven days each week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
