Pocatello man accused of slamming officer’s hand in door

A Pocatello man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he slammed a door on the hand of a police officer.

Kevin Wayne Goad, 40, was arrested on charges of battery on an officer, resisting and obstructing, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and four counts of aggravated assault.

Police were called to a disturbance at 3630 Jason around 8:45 p.m. Goad was told he was under arrest.

Goad allegedly slammed the door on the hand of an officer and continued to apply pressure to the door. Goad then obtained a displayed a black and silver hand gun at four officers before he finally threw the gun down, police said.

Once he was in custody, police found at least four more firearms in the home.

Several officers received minor injuries during the incident.
