Two small quakes rumble Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming.

Two small earthquakes struck Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming Monday.

A magnitude 3.2 quake was centered seven miles southeast of Challis Idaho in Custer County around 9:22 a.m.

Later in the afternoon just seconds after 5 p.m., a magnitude 3.1 quake hit in Yellowstone National Park on the north end of Yellowstone Lake. The quake was centered 24 miles east of Old Faithful.

Both areas are known for earthquakes, especially Challis which has seen earthquake swarms in recent years.
