Galasso Becomes First To Play Pro Softball

Idaho State Catcher Vicky Galasso didn’t know it at the time. But as the ball sailed over the right field fence at Miller Ranch Stadium and banged off the scoreboard, it would be her last hit as a Bengal. But her 62nd career Home Run wouldn’t be the last hit of her softball career.

Galasso is headed to the National Professional Fastpitch Softball League, signing a free agent contract with the Chicago Bandits.

By signing to continue her career, Galasso becomes the first player in Idaho State, and Big Sky Conference history to play professional softball.
