Rachel Cannon Commits To BYU

Blackfoot distance runner Rachel Cannon wasn’t sure if her dream would come true. But as she signed her name on a Letter of Intent Friday morning, all the hard work had paid off.

Cannon signed to run Track and Cross Country at BYU next season. When asked what other schools she was considering, Cannon said BYU was the only place she wanted to attend. But coming into her senior season, she wasn’t sure if her times would match up.

All the hard work paid off as Cannon won the 4A Girls 1,600 Meter Run, and the 4A Girls 3,200 Meter Run. Better yet her times were enough to garner an offer from her dream school.
