Worker killed in farm accident

A Jefferson County farm worker was killed while working on a ranch near Roberts on Saturday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old David Magana-Moreno was checking ear tags on cattle when he was run over by a feed trailer at 20 North 2100 East.

The trailer was driven by 22-year-old Aurelio Rameriz at Cannon Farms, LLC, owned by Seth Cannon.

Investigators determined it was an accident, according to a news release Monday.
