ISP focusing on trucks, buses this week
The Idaho State Police is taking part in the 28th annual International Roadcheck.
Over the next three days, troopers will be inspecting trucks and buses all across the state to improve safety for all drivers. The idea is to make sure the trucks or buses and their drivers are being safe.
“Tire violations, maybe even cargo violations, sometimes we see hazardous material, vehicles that don’t quite have the right credentials or maybe the right equipment, some of the equipment is broken or fatigued,” said Lt. Chris Weadick of the Idaho State Police.
On average, nearly 17 trucks or buses will be inspected every minute from Canada to Mexico during a 72-hour period.
