Search for woman leads to drug arrests
The search for a wanted woman led to several people being arrested and cited on drug charges Monday.
Idaho Falls police were at the 2400 block of South Yellowstone looking for Tara Barrett, 33, of Idaho Falls, who had multiple warrants out for her arrest, including two Bonneville County felony probation warrants, and was said to be at the location.
Officers found Barrett as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and now faces a misdemeanor charge of frequenting a place where drugs are used.
In addition, police said William D. Whitmore, 40, of Idaho Falls, had 11.6 ounces of marijuana and packaging materials and was caught trying to destroy evidence. He was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, destruction of evidence and harboring a wanted felon.
Also arrested was Philip A. Griffith of Idaho Falls, 30, on a Bonneville County warrant, as well as charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and frequenting a place where drugs are used.
Cited for frequenting a place where drugs are used were Dona L. Scott, 47, and Kayla Stevens, 28.
