Driver accused of hitting pedestrian on purpose
A pedestrian says a driver hit him on purpose.
Pocatello police say Melissa Rogers Burky, 34, of Pocatello, was driving her vehicle on Yellowstone and Griffith when she struck Wade Mark Morgan then drove away around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
Morgan suffered significant injuries and was transported to Portneuf Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Morgan told police Rogers Burky was driving the vehicle and said she struck him deliberately.
Witnesses also described the woman and her vehicle to police.
Rogers Burky was arrested on charges of aggravated DUI, aggravated battery and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
