Gas, diesel prices nearly equal in Idaho Falls
For the first time in a long time, prices for diesel and unleaded gasoline are around the same in Idaho Falls.
Prices for both are sitting around $2.85 a gallon.
According to Dave Carson with AAA Idaho, there is a glut in the oil market with OPEC not cutting production and a strong oil demand.
Diesel fuel is also cheaper to produce than unleaded gas, and there is more of it in the United States than normal, he said.
Gas prices are expected to come down a little this summer.
