Locals Gather To Cheer On Sanchez
As Maria Sanchez took the field in Canada for her first game in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, back in her hometown supporters gathered to watch the girl they’ve seen grow into one of the best soccer players in the world.
Though Sanchez didn’t get any playing time against Colombia, those who watched the game said it was surreal that a kid from a town of 4,400 people has accomplished so much.
