That makes 18 votes need to build a new high school in the district.

The election was held May 19th and needed a 66.7% to pass the bond. With today’s vote, the vote only got a 66.5% in favor.

Election workers started at 10 a.m. and finished their recount around 5:15 p.m. at the Bonneville County Election office.

The recount was paid for by Advocates for Education group. The group supported the bond. They paid $2,300 from private donations to have the recount done.

The Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is overseeing the recount process, along with the Idaho Secretary of State’s office.
