Missing Rigby man found

A missing Rigby man was found safe in a neighbor’s garage after a community-wide search Wednesday.

Rigby police said 82-year-old Boyd Summers walked away from his own home on Autumnwood Drive sometime between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Approximately 100 people including citizens, Rigby Police, Jefferson Central Firefighters, Jefferson County deputies and Snake River Search and Rescue joined the search.

Summers was found by a search dog at around 1:35 p.m. Police said he appeared to be unharmed.
